Project Overview

Canon needed to prove their entry-level R50 camera could produce professional editorial-quality work not just snapshots, but images that would hold up in paid advertising. The challenge was demonstrating that an APS-C sensor with a kit lens could compete with full-frame setups when paired with intentional lighting and composition. Shot a fashion editorial series using only the Canon R50 and kit lens in a controlled studio environment. Worked within the camera's technical limitations to produce 21 final images that Canon selected for their paid advertising campaign across Pinterest and digital platforms. The shoot required balancing dual roles serving as on-camera talent while directing and shooting the editorial content within a compressed four-hour timeline.
